Tasmanian Devil. In the early 2000's a strange desease appeared out of nowhere in Mt William National Park in northeast Tasmania.
It causes cancer in face and mouth of Tasmanian Devils. These poor guys get horrific and painful tumors so large they cannot eat.
In absolute agony they die slow deaths by starvation. Their numbers are down 84% in just one decade. They face a very unsure future to say the least.
They are very shy and nocturnal so I setup a camera with a remote near this dead pademelon and watched with night vision from a distance.
